For the denial of the Prophet’s suffering for all of us.
From dawn to dusk the earth is burning in shame
That the now-Christ remains unknown- without name.
Now is the anguish of earth that the Ancient One
Walks upon her breast, but is shunned by everyone.
Now is the anguish that those who accepted him
Have for a golden calf sold- and rejected him.
O the earth weeps and the earth burns for all our sins
That we have not embraced and surrendered to him.
We will walk and walk through this water and fire
Until in our remembrance at his feet we expire.
Darvish sings a song that only few can hear;
It is a song of fire and ice in a diamond tear.
